Note: All meetings hosted by members normally start at 7:30 PM for "kick tyres" socializing, with the meeting at 8PM unless noted otherwise or the meeting is on a Saturday.

   9 (Tue) Meeting at Gus & George's Restaurant, 4312 Virginia Beach Blvd, Virginia Beach, VA 23452. Show up at 6PM if you are eating dinner, meeting to follow.

  20 (Sat) "Tidewater MG Flash" Tour! Meet at the Bier Garden Restaurant at 438 High St. in Portsmouth at 11:00 on Saturday, January 20.  Feel free to convoy with your other MG friends and neighbors to get there! Following lunch, we will tour the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Museum at 2 High Street ($3 entry charge).  The Bier Garden has a good menu and a great collection of beverages.  Hope to see you there!"  Any questions, contact Bruce at easleybw@aol.com or 757-570-2924.

   9 (Sat) TRAACA Annual Swap Meet at Nansemond-Suffolk Academy, 3373 Pruden Blvd., Suffolk, VA 23434, 8AM to 1PM.

   17 (Sun) 8:30 AM Cars & Coffee with RROC, Williamsburg British Car Club, Central Virginia British Car Club and Tidewater MG Classics at Tipsy Beans Cafe, The Shops at High Street, 1430 High Street, Williamsburg, VA 23185. Park in the large open area above the indoor garage.  Tipsy Beans Cafe is open for the beverage and snack of your choice.  Plan to meet and mingle until we depart at about 10:00 AM.  Post-coffee all motor car enthusiasts are invited to join a scenic drive of 35 miles (1 hour) along "America's Second Oldest Road" Route 5 to Upper Shirley Vineyards, Charles City, VA.  We will depart directly from the Tipsy Beans Cafe Cars & Coffee.  Upper Shirley Vineyards is a beautiful venue with a historical location along the James River.  It can be quite lively, however, we will be arriving as it opens at 11:00 AM.  Socialize with your new friends while enjoying shopping, a beverage, snack or lunch.

April

    14 (Sun) Spring Tech Session & April meeting hosted by Mathieu Huovinen at 9614 16th Bay Street, Norfolk, VA 23518. Kick tyres at 10 AM, meeting at 10:30 with tech session to follow.

   20 (Sat) East Beach Car Show at the corner of Shore Drive and East Beach Drive, Norfolk, VA,  9AM to 3PM.  Food trucks, prizes, and entrants will receive commemorative swag.  Registration is now open using Jotform, go to https://form.jotform.com/240525459098161. Parking location assigned in order of registration date/time. Onsite registration as space permits, but we estimate capacity now at 75-100 cars, so register EARLY! Registration fee: $25.00. Event proceeds to benefit ForKids.org & Foodbank of SE Virginia.

   2 (Sun) The Original British Car Day (OBCD) 46^th Annual Meet at Lilypons Water Gardens, Adamstown, Maryland.   The Chesapeake Chapter of the New England MG “T” Register is returning to Lilypons Water Gardens for the annual gathering held for the enjoyment of all British car and motorcycle enthusiasts from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the beautiful grounds of the Lilypons Water Gardens. The Triumph Spitfire will be the Featured Marque this year. Whether you are displaying your car, or just coming to enjoy the event, the drive is beautiful no matter where you are coming from. You can follow the directions on the Lilypons website www.lilypons.com.     21 (Sat)   The Faschini Wallach Center for restorative therapies will have its grand opening dedication on September 21, 2024 from 10 o’clock to 12 o’clock. The center is located in the new health sciences building at Old Dominion University. You will have an opportunity to tour the new health sciences building which is state of the art and also the 11,000 square-foot Faschini Wallach Center where you will see patients and students along with therapist demonstrating the equipment that is used. A brunch is also included.
